welcome

Uchi means “home” in Japanese, and that spirit of warmth and connection is what we're built on. As a young sushi chef, James Beard Award–winner Tyson Cole fell in love with the magic of the sushi bar: the intimacy, the conversation, and the collaboration with guests that turned every bite into something unforgettable.

We’ve designed Uchi to bring that feeling to the entire restaurant. We craft every detail, menu, pacing, and service to be as personal and engaging as a seat at the bar, blending Japanese tradition with modern creativity.

The goal is simple: every guest feels welcomed, connected, and cared for. In other words: this isn’t just dinner. This is home.

At Uchi, we believe the more you understand the story behind each bite, the richer and more meaningful your dining experience becomes. That’s why we created School of Fish, an invitation to explore, learn, and fall even more in love with what’s on your plate. In this series, our chefs reveal what inspires our food, sushi techniques, our culinary philosophy, and more. Discover more, love more.
