Uchi, meaning “home” in Japanese, was founded by James Beard Award winning Chef Tyson Cole. Celebrated for its nontraditional approach to Japanese cuisine, Uchi offers a balance of elevated dining and attentive service. Guests are invited to explore curated tastings, seasonal omakase, and an experience designed to leave a lasting impression.

Set in the vibrant Wynwood Arts District, Uchi Miami brings a bold interpretation of sushi to the city’s dynamic culinary scene. Under Chef Tyson Cole’s vision, Uchi delivers an immersive experience where Miami’s vibrant energy meets the precision of Japanese technique.

Artist Vas Bets created a one‑of‑a‑kind art installation, a towering block wall handwoven with rope, that greets guests at the entrance. The structure was a collaboration between DRM custom masonry (bricks), AWM architecture woodworking (steel structure) and Miami artist and sculptor Vas Bets, who hand‑wove the rope throughout.

Michael Hsu Office of Architecture integrated organic elements and a modern aesthetic into our thoughtfully designed space. Materials such as metal, brick, and concrete are softened by a neutral color palette, warm walnut and white oak woods, creamy textiles, brightly colored botanical wall coverings and soft accent lighting to achieve a refined simplicity.
